While the report period was dominated by review process of property clause, aimed at enabling expropriation land for reform purposes nil compensation, various other important developments occurred in 2021, dealing with land. Included herewith publication bills, inter alia, Land Court and housing-related matters; long-awaited Upgrading Rights Amendment Act, as well handing down critical judgments within domains redistribution, tenure restitution respectively. Given that did not result an amended underlying difficulties continue to be addressed holistically under extant, unchanged section 25 Constitution.
